Part-Dieu

The second-largest tertiary district in France, Part-Dieu in Lyon’s third arrondissement has undergone a transformation over the last ten years, attracting companies linked to the regional economy, the industrial transition and new working methods (flex office, co-working, third places). Mix of housing, offices, shops and culture, with a multimodal transportation hub. 2024 rental values: new offices €338/m²/year, used €235/m²/year.

Confluence

Located at the south of Lyon’s peninsula in the second arrondissement, this district transforms a former industrial area into a modern eco-neighborhood, combining contemporary architecture, sustainable development and cultural life. It doubles the size of the city center with housing, offices and public spaces. 2024 rental values: new offices €255/m²/year, used €240/m²/year.

ZAC Mas du Taureau

25,000 m² of space for economic activities are planned in Vaulx-en-Velin, on the edge of the ZAC (development zone). The economic program for the urban plan aims to create a benchmark site on the scale of the city-region, entirely dedicated to construction and sustainable city stakeholders. The first two lots will be the business village and the training hub.

The ESB chose to open a campus in Lyon in 2024 to be closer to students in south-eastern France and to meet the needs of companies in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, which face high demand for these profiles. Located in the seventh arrondissement, the campus offers three-year bachelor’s degrees in bio-based product engineering.
Founded in 1934, the École Supérieure du Bois, a pioneer in timber science and technology, trains engineers capable of designing bio-based solutions for a low-carbon world. Based in Nantes, it has opened campuses in Versailles (2023) and Lyon (2024).
