Live for Good, an association supporting young impact-driven entrepreneurs, sets up in the Lyon region

Live for Good is an association that supports young impact entrepreneurs from underrepresented neighborhoods, rural areas, and other underserved territories. It is rolling out its programs across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and establishing a presence in Lyon, with the support of ONLYLYON Invest and the Lyon Metropolitan Authority.

Founded by the Courtois family, Live for Good has a clear mission: to unlock the potential of young people from all backgrounds through impact entrepreneurship. Whether in the fields of environment, inclusion, health, or education, the association provides tools, training, and coaching to support these projects. After Île-de-France and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, it is now expanding into the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and setting up in Lyon’s 7th arrondissement.

“The Lyon region was chosen for its economic potential, its dynamic entrepreneurial culture, and its clear desire to create positive change in society.”

Live for Good, an association promoting impact entrepreneurship among young people in rural areas and underserved neighborhoods

Live for Good is committed to supporting entrepreneurs under the age of 30 in developing their impact-driven start-ups, particularly in rural areas. To encourage the younger generation to build ventures for the common good and to accelerate positive innovation within this community, the association offers two support pathways.

Through its “Entrepreneurs for Good” program, Live for Good now supports a cohort of 35 young entrepreneurs over a six-month period, helping them scale their projects. Participants benefit from multi-day immersive seminars known as “Campus,” personalized coaching, masterclasses, and online content designed to structure and maximize the social and environmental impact of their businesses. This hybrid model makes it possible to reach rural areas and underserved neighborhoods. In France, the program helped create nearly 200 companies and 600 jobs between 2016 and 2022, generating €12 million in revenue in 2022.

Live for Good held its first campus in the region in November 2023 in Saint-Martin-en-Haut, within the Monts du Lyonnais community of municipalities.

Each year, the association also awards the Gabriel Prize, which enables seven young entrepreneurs to accelerate the development of their businesses. Over the course of one year, the prize provides access to coaching sessions, tailored training, a grant of up to €20,000, and increased visibility through the organization’s communications team.

An establishment supported by ONLYLYON Invest and the Lyon Metropolitan Authority

Live for Good chose to set up its offices at Cité Etic Hévéa, located at 2 rue du professeur Zimmermann in Lyon’s 7th arrondissement. This dynamic environment is particularly well suited to social entrepreneurship. Strongly committed to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting innovative projects that serve the common good, the Lyon Metropolitan Authority and ONLYLYON Invest supported Live for Good in its expansion across the Lyon region.

ONLYLYON Invest, for example, connected the association with various local stakeholder networks and supported its communications efforts. The Lyon Metropolitan Authority also enabled Live for Good to join the LYVE network, which brings together 300 business creation experts across the territory.
